News and Information
Mile-A-Minute-Weed
Mianus River Gorge Preserve will be doing a "Vine Pull" of the invasive Mile-A-Minute-Weed, on July 23rd at 10:30am. We will be working in cooperation with volunteers from the New York Botanical Garden and the NY State DEC. Outbreaks of this vine have been seen throughout Pound Ridge and Bedford and are seriously damaging the ecosystem. It is important to pull the vine before it goes to seed in August.
