Events Below is a list of our upcoming events and programs. Click on one for more info. Weekend Nature Walks Starting in the Fall, the Gorge will have semi-weekly nature walks led by the manager on duty that weekend. The walks will be open to the public and be educational hikes through the trails. More details will be available soon, as we finish designing the program. Past Events A Day With a Wildlife Biologist The MRGP is offering a new series of educational programs designed to introduce our patrons to the research and management activities going on at the Preserve. These programs are open to adults and children 10 years or older. Reservations are required and each trip is limited to 15 people. Below are brief descriptions of each workshop: Radio Tracking Screech Owls Join Assistant Preserve Manager, Chris Nagy as he investigates; “eastern screech owl population biology”. Chris will start this evening program at Gibb House with a short slide show on the life history of the eastern screech owl. Chris will discuss his research and what he hopes to achieve with his study and then take the group on a night hike through the Gorge to track some of the local owls that are equipped with radio transmitters.
