| M.R.G.P. "Have You Seen this Deer?" Program |
Getting involved in the "Have You Seen this Deer" project is simple and easy for the entire family! This is an educational science project for the community to enjoy. The goal is to better understand the deer populations in our own backyards using data collected by you and your neighbors. Many of you have seen the deer with colorful ear tags. We are hoping to enlist neighbors in recording data on deer observations (both tagged and untagged). We believe that the data you collect (aka citizen science) can generate good information on the size and movement patterns of the deer populations. On this site you can submit data on deer you have seen on your property. You will also be able to track deer reported by your neighbors. Thank you for your help. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the project – both as a research and educational tool – please get in touch with us!
